It’s ok if…..(The Freelance Edition)

Hey Freelancer!

It’s ok if you don’t want that six figure life

It’s ok if you DO want that six figure life

It’s ok if success for you is being able to pay the bills, have money for a comfortable life and time to do what you want

It’s ok if you want to freelance all across the world

It’s ok if the idea of working on a beach is hell to you

It’s ok if you don’t want to work 50 hour weeks

It’s ok if you DO want to work 50 hour weeks

It’s ok to be sick when you’re freelance – you’re not invincible!

It’s ok if you don’t have a Pinterest perfect office space

It’s ok if you freelance from the sofa, or if sometimes you can only work from the boffice (bed office)

It’s ok if having a beautiful desk makes you extra happy and motivated

It’s ok if you don’t have a perfect morning routine locked down

It’s ok if you work in your most comfortable clothes (oh hi there elasticated waistbands)

It’s ok if you don’t feel ready to work unless you’re dressed to impress

It’s ok to say no to clients that give you a bad gut feeling

It’s ok to say no to clients that don’t align with your values

It’s ok to say yes to clients who don’t necessarily light your fire, but will get you through a quiet spell

It’s ok to set boundaries with clients, and stick to them

It’s ok to read cosy rom coms or thrillers over a personal development book

It’s ok not to be a morning person

It’s ok if your brain packs up for the day at 3pm

It’s ok if you have cereal for lunch rather than an Instagram-pretty avocado on toast

It’s ok if you’re a pen and paper fan, rather than a tech and automations geek

It’s ok if you get impostor syndrome, EVERYONE does!

It’s ok if you’d rather poke yourself in the eye than go to a networking event

It’s ok if you don’t want to be your brand, if you prefer staying behind the scenes

It’s ok if you don’t want to use social media to market your business

My favourite thing about freelancing is that you can find a way to do it that works for YOU. You don’t have to follow a method, framework or theory. There’s no perfect way to be freelance. There is no perfect fix. Just find a way to freelance that works for you, and enjoy experimenting!

And if you do have impostor syndrome, I have a free Impostor syndrome Toolkit for you that might help!
