Welcome to another episode of the Freelancers Tea Break, where we explore quick and effective ways to enhance our freelance lifestyles. In this episode, we will delve into the power of journaling and how it can improve our daily lives. Journaling is not about creating a perfect page but rather about emptying our minds and reflecting on our experiences. So grab a cuppa and let’s explore two journaling prompts that can make a significant difference in our freelance journeys.

1. Small Daily Improvements for Future You:
The first journaling prompt encourages us to identify one small daily action that can enhance our lives in the long run. It’s important to keep this action as small as possible to ensure consistency. For example, instead of committing to a full yoga routine, consider practicing just one pose each day. This approach, as shared by Kendra in the Lazy Genius book, allows for greater consistency and progress. Other ideas include writing a to-do list at the end of each day or dedicating two minutes to tidying up. The key is to choose a small action that aligns with your goals and can be easily incorporated into your daily routine.

2. Making Today Delightful:
The second journaling prompt invites us to consider how we can make each day delightful. This can be a small or large gesture, depending on your preferences and circumstances. It could be as simple as taking five minutes to enjoy a cuppa while journaling or treating yourself to a delicious lunch. Alternatively, you could spend a few minutes outdoors without your phone or indulge in a solo cinema trip. By consciously seeking out moments of delight, we cultivate gratitude and appreciation for the little things in life.

I encourage you to give these journaling prompts a try and see how they positively impact your freelance journey. Join the Freelance Lifestylers Facebook group or connect with me on Instagram (@EmmaCossey) to share your experiences and engage in discussions with like-minded freelancers.

Additionally, I would appreciate your feedback on the Reels content I’ve been creating on Instagram. I’ve been working with Laura Summers (https://marketingwithconfidence.co.uk/) to up my game and would love your thoughts on the Reels we’ve been making together.

By incorporating small daily improvements and seeking out moments of delight, we can create a more fulfilling and enjoyable freelance lifestyle. Remember, journaling is not about perfection but about self-reflection and growth. So grab your journal, scribble down your thoughts, and embark on a journey of self-discovery and gratitude. Let’s make each day as delightful as possible and embrace the power of journaling to enhance our freelance lives.
