Friendly reminder: DO THE THING!

We all do it, there is so much to remember every day: the mental load gets too much and we forget something important. And, as freelancers, its often the important bits about our own health that get left behind. So here is your reminder to Do The Thing that you’ve been forgetting.

Prefer to read it? Here are the main points!

We all have those lingering tasks on our personal to-do lists that never seem to get done. Whether it’s booking an eye appointment, messaging a friend, or sorting out your will, these tasks often get pushed aside in favour of more pressing professional matters. However, neglecting these personal responsibilities can have long-term consequences. In this blog post, we’ll explore some simple yet important tasks that you can tackle today to bring a sense of accomplishment and peace of mind.

1. Book that eye appointment: With the increasing screen time in our lives, it’s crucial to prioritise our eye health. Many opticians now offer online booking, making it quick and easy to schedule an appointment.

2. Message that friend or family member: Take a moment to reach out to someone you’ve been meaning to connect with. A short message can go a long way in strengthening relationships and fostering a sense of connection.

3. Sort your Will: Consider using online platforms like Fairwill to efficiently and comprehensively create or update your will. This process can be completed in as little as 10 minutes, providing you with peace of mind and ensuring your wishes are documented.

4. Book that medical appointment: Don’t neglect your health. Whether it’s a routine check-up, dental visit, or important tests, prioritise booking these appointments. Many healthcare providers now offer online booking options, making it convenient and hassle-free.

5. Sort your pension: Take control of your financial future by organising your pension. Platforms like Penfold offer a user-friendly experience, allowing you to set up and manage your pension easily. Consider seeking additional guidance if needed, such as the freelance pension training offered on my website.

Now is the time to take action on those personal tasks that have been lingering on your to-do list. Choose one task from the list or identify another important item that you’ve been putting off. Commit to completing it today. Share your progress with us on social media using the provided links. Remember, taking care of personal responsibilities is just as important as professional ones. Don’t delay any longer—start ticking off those to-do’s and enjoy the satisfaction of accomplishing what matters most to you.
